Richway has been investing significantly in sound therapy research and development for 10 years.
Dr. Lee from Canada, who developed the basic theory and products, identified that certain frequencies have these effects, but it is difficult to understand why those specific frequencies have such effects.
 
Therefore,  literature of many other doctors was referred to.  During this process, Dr. Richard Gerber’s “Vibrational Medicine” greatly helped in setting the direction for sound therapy and treatment.  Reading this book in detail will help  understand the direction that was taken in developing the new Bio acoustic mat.
 
Even Dr. Richard Gerber could not precisely explain why certain frequencies have therapeutic effects, although he did observe these phenomena.
 
By synthesizing his theory with other theories of sound therapy and conducting tests in the Richway laboratory, we found that 432Hz, 528Hz, and 741Hz provide subtle resonant stimulation to human cells.
 
Additionally, 220,000Hz (specifically 220,365Hz) and its 11th harmonic resonance cause cracks in hardened cells (such as cancer cells and very old cells) and viruses (which are quite rigid) and bacteria (which are moderately rigid).
 
Therefore, these frequencies are believed to worsen the living environment of hardened cells, rather than directly targeting and attacking cancer cells, old cells, or viruses.
 
During approximately one year of clinical testing with the above five frequencies, we received several positive reports, confirming that using these frequencies is indeed the right direction.
 
Dr. Lee’s frequencies from Canada are mainly related to brain wave activation, so combining his two frequencies with the newly added five frequencies, we emit a complex form of sound waves.

The newly developed Acoustic Mat has the following features:

It includes an ultrasonic function.
A total of 7 sound waves are generated simultaneously  (2 original, one low frequency, three mid-low frequencies, and two ultrasonic frequencies).
The size of the controller has been significantly increased.  It is now similar in size to the Biomat Pro controller.
The software functions operate smoothly without any issues. When the controller is turned off and then on again, the Bluetooth function is automatically disabled.
The sound quality has been improved and is now clearer. In particular, the ultrasonic waves include frequencies above 220,000 Hz and an 11th harmonic ultrasound below that frequency. 
The purpose of this design is to destroy bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells, though the actual effects within the human body are unknown. In laboratory settings, the combination of 220,000 Hz and the 11th harmonic proved effective. Adding these two ultrasonic frequencies aims to enhance immunity.

The Musical Expert Behind
the BioAcoustic Mat

Dr. Bartel is a Professor Emeritus of Music and former Associate Dean for research at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, as well as Director of Music and Health Research Collaboratory. Dr.Bartel has a special interest in applications of music in health conditions of aging and rehabilitation. He is well known for his research and design of music for health. His primary research interest in currently in Rhythmic Sensory Stimulation (RSS) with applications for several types of pain.

Within the Canadian Music Education Research Centre, Dr. Bartel is the Coordinator of the Music, Mind, and Brain Special Research Interest Group, and Coordinator of the Music Therapy and Health Special Interest Group. He has also served on the Accreditation Review Board for the Canadian Association of Music Therapy, has been involved in noteworthy studies with the Centre for Health Promotion, University of Toronto, and supervised doctoral and post-doctoral research at Bloorview Kid’s Rehab, Lyndhurst Hospital, and Baycrest Hospital.

Sound Healing and External Sources of Music

Richway has invested significantly in R&D facilities to conduct extensive experiments on the Bioacoustic Mat.  These facilities were used to conduct numerous experiments on the  Sound Oasis product.  The journey into sound therapy began with the Sound Oasis product.  In analyzing their product and Dr. Lee’s theory, serious issues arose. 

The Sound Oasis Problem

Sound Oasis had a fundamental flaw where the entire frequency changed every time the music changed (as expected). When external music was connected, it merely played through the speakers, unrelated to the specific frequencies Dr. Lee intended to target. Especially critical was Dr. Lee’s selection of frequencies, which required 11-step resonance to create harmony for cellular impact. However, Sound Oasis’ product followed all frequencies in the music, making it impossible to sustain specific frequencies, let alone achieve the 11-step resonance necessary for cellular resonance.

The Richway Solution

Richway took the Sound Oasis product as a foundation and improved upon it to create the new Bioacoustic Mat. The most critical aspect is that Dr. Lee’s chosen frequencies must remain constant regardless of the music. Additionally, the inclusion of the 11-step harmony is essential for resonance. As the efficacy of the Bioacoustic Mat relies heavily on low-frequency resonance, changing frequencies with the music would nullify any medical benefits. Richway discovered functional issues with the Sound Oasis product’s therapeutic efficacy and developed the current improved product. We believe in therapeutic effects through music, but it must align with Dr. Lee’s frequency prescriptions for optimal results.

Clinical trials have shown that using the Amethyst Biomat and Acoustic Mat together has significant effects on memory loss and dementia treatment, as published in medical journals.

Without adhering to specific frequencies and providing the 11-step resonance, such therapeutic effects would not have been possible.

These clinical trials have proven that the improved Bioacoustic Mat by Richway is particularly effective for memory loss and dementia treatment.  However, there is no record of successful clinical trials with the Sound Oasis product.

Can you play your own music in the Bioacoustic Mat?
Yes, you can. But it will only play in the top auditory speakers, not in the bass transducer (where vibration is felt.) The Sound Oasis product, when connected to external music, serves merely as ordinary music without any therapeutic functionality. However, the Richway Bioacoustic Mat takes it one step further and ensures that Dr. Lee's frequencies continue to flow continuously even when external music is connected. (Though sometimes the bass and music may not perfectly align, they are generally quite similar.)
Dr. Lee designed these frequencies to stimulate the brain.  To achieve this stimulation, Dr. Lee’s frequencies need to occur at least once every 3 seconds. (Ideally, not exceeding 5 seconds.) 
 
If you listen closely to the low-frequency vibrations of  our Bioacoustic Mat, you’ll notice that they all occur within a short duration of 3 seconds or less.   Specific frequencies that induce resonance must repeat consistently, separate from the music.   This ensures that the therapeutic frequencies remain constant and effective, regardless of the music playing.
 

According to Dr. Lee’s theory, there are general types of music and frequencies that stimulate the brain. In actual product design of a Bioacoustic sound healing bed, there are two approaches: 

  • One prioritizes general music with therapeutic music as secondary.
  • One  prioritizes therapeutic music with general music as secondary.

Richway’s Acoustic Mat prioritizes therapeutic music, which might make the lower frequencies sound peculiar.  However, this is not low frequency.

 
It’s because the 11-degree chord is tuned lower to create a resonance chord, making it sound like sub-bass.  However, actual low frequencies are much lower.
 
When listening to acoustic music, hearing the 11-degree lower chord sounding strange is normal. 
 
So far, these frequencies have been the most effective in stimulating the brain.
 
In actual product design of a Bioacoustic sound healing bed, there are two approaches: 
General Music First
One prioritizes general music with therapeutic music as secondary. Seems fine for listening, but its effectiveness might be limited.
 
Therapeutic Music First
One prioritizes therapeutic music with general music as secondary. Richway’s approach — maximizing therapeutic benefit above all.

Combining the BioAcoustic Mat with the Biomat

The BioAcoustic mat is a sound healing vibroacoustic therapy bed, and the Amethyst Biomat is a bed filled with amethyst crystals that emits far infrared and negative ions.  Combining light and sound, they work synergistically to provide deep foundational healing that are beneficial on their own or in combination with therapies such as massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, energy healing, sound healing, and physical therapy.  When you are experiencing the Amethyst Biomat on top of the BioAcoustic Sound Healing Bed, you will feel the vibrations (which you can control in intensity) located in the lower section of the bed near the sacrum (where the larger speaker is.)  This vibration will travel through the Biomat and it can either be very strong, or very subtle.
